MY STORY

I was 23 when I left the cold New Hampshire winters behind and landed in sunny San Diego—where my passion for health and wellness really took root. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a calling. I enrolled at the Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathy in Encinitas and became a Master Herbalist, blending teas for friends and family who wanted natural alternatives to conventional medicine.

After two and a half years of deepening my knowledge at a wellness clinic in Carlsbad, The Loose Leaf was born in 2008. My mission was simple: create clean, organic teas that taste good and actually do something—supporting the body with powerful, real herbs and nothing fake. Everything we make is hand-blended in small batches here in Oceanside using organic, Fair Trade certified ingredients.

I believe wellness starts with everyday choices—and that herbal medicine should be accessible, honest, and easy to understand. Whether you’re just starting your journey or already steeped in it, my goal is to help you take your health into your own hands, one cup at a time.
